- The Naval Surface Warfare Center - Panama City Division, FL will be soliciting proposals on the basis of full and open competition for production of USMC Mine Roller Family of Systems to include parts and associated hardware. The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with provisions for firm fixed price delivery orders. The contract period of performance will be for a base year, and three one year options. The Government anticipates making multiple awards for up to four vendors from the solicitation issued to those offerors who are deemed responsible in accordance with FAR 9.104; whose proposal conforms to the solicitation's requirements, and is judged to be technically acceptable to the Government. This is not an official request for proposals. No proposal will be accepted from this synopsis. It is estimated the solicitation will be available on 19 Nov 2010. Vendors must watch for the solicitation and any amendments to be posted on FEDBIZOPS. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis notice. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. No paper distribution of these documents will be provided. This notice is not the request for competitive proposals. The solicitation will contain reference to drawings and data that is distribution limited to DoD and U.S. DoD Contractors. Additionally these documents contain technical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C., Sec 2751, et seq. Requests for the drawings must be submitted via e-mail to Don Bickford; at donald.bickford@navy.mil. Requests must contain the Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code to be considered as potentially eligible to receive the controlled data.
