- FA9620-08-G-4060 MQ-9 Readiness Spares Equipment Purchase: The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Predator Systems Division (ASC/WIIK) intends to award a delivery order on the existing BOA on a sole source basis to L-3 Communications. This effort is to acquire readiness spares for the MQ-9. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. L-3 Communications is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Interim Modem Assemblies (IMA), Ku SATCOM Antennas and Enerdyne Encoders for the MQ-9 Predator system and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform this effort. The government does not own the data rights for these spares; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10U.S.C.2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement action is 334220. Please indicate number of employees relative to the size standard of 750 for determination of small business status.
