- Description
- The Southeast Regional Medical Command (SERMC) has a requirement for hospital housekeeping services. This service requirement shall include the following facilities in the Southeastern United States: Lawrence Joel Army Health Clinic and Dental Clinic, Fort McPherson, Georgia; Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia; Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Fox Army Health Clinic, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, training, transportation, equipment and materials necessary to provide housekeeping services in accordance with JCAHO, OSHA, and United States Army Medical Command standards and regulations. The estimated combined square footage of all facilities is 1,847,323 square feet. The contract base period will be from 1 October 2010 through 30 September 2011, with an option to extend services for 6 months. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code/size is 561720/$12M. The Government intends to award a sole source bridge contract to the encumbent contractor, Ace Maintenance Services, Inc for the period of 01 October 2010 through 30 September 2011. Per the attached Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition, this action will allow continuity of services and ample time to procure the follow-on requirement competitive competitively.
