- Description
- The synopsis originally published on September 16, is hereby modified to provide responses to questions received to date, and to extend the RFI closing date from October 28 to November 10, 2010. QUESTION 1: Would you please provide some clarification with respect to the requirement to provide ROM pricing? The request to provide ROM pricing does not appear in the main body of the request but however when you dig a bit deeper there is a reference to it in the additional information paper available via the link. Could you please confirm whether ROM prices will be required for inclusion with the response to this RFI? ANSWER 1: The Government is not looking for a proposal at this point since no requirement has been formulated, but we would at least like to get an idea of your estimated cost of the solution you propose, including recurring and NRE costs. Thus we're requesting only ROM pricing be submitted with your response to the RFI. The main body of the text was primarily intended as a summary of the RFI, with additional information in the attachment for companies with a possible interest in responding to the RFI. The main body of the RFI announcement and the attachment form the complete RFI, as it was not possible to provide all information needed in the main body. QUESTION 2: Will the government provide the RFI in a Word format instead of the current.pdf format. ANSWER 2: No. QUESTION 3: Reference Paragraph 2.3.3 TCM-DES (TRADOC Capability Manager Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization). PM UAS will provide the TCM-DES with specific Fleet Management information that will help drive improvements in their primary areas of responsibility. What specifically do you want us to address within the context of this section? ANSWER 3: Describe the approaches/technologies you have that can provide information in regards to Pending Maintenance Actions, and in regards to Readiness of the respective PM UAS platforms being Full Mission Capable, Partial Mission Capable, or Non-Mission Capable. QUESTION 4: On page 2 of the instructions under Special Note, it states that Digital Fusion Solutions, Inc will assist the Government in review of any information submitted in response to this RFI. Will Digital Fusion Solutions or Kratos Defense & Security Systems be submitting responses to the RFI? Also, will they be permitted to respond to the RFP when issued? ANSWER 4: It is not anticipated that either Digital Fusion Solutions or Kratos Defense & Security Systems will be submitting a response, due to potential conflict of interest concerns. QUESTION 5: Would you entertain a two-week extension for this RFI response? ANSWER 5: Response due date is extended to COB 10 Nov 2010. All other information published in the original synopsis and its attachment remains unchanged.
