- Description
- This synopsis provide notification of the 50th Contracting Squadron's (50 CONS) intent to extend contract FA2550-01-D-0003, Technical Services and Space Operations Support (TSSOS) for a period of four (4) months. The Period of Performance for this extension will be from 1 Jan 11 through 30 Apr 11. The extension will be performed by the incumbent contractor, WYLE Information Systems, LLC (WYLE IS); 1651 Old Meadow Road, 5th Floor, McLean, VA 22102. A small business set-aside was awarded on 7 Nov 01 for support to the Space Innovation and Development Center (SIDC) mission requirements. Support is provided at the following SIDC sites/locations: Cheyenne Mountain AFS, CO; Nellis AFB NV; Patrick AFB FL; Schriever AFB CO; and Vandenberg AFB CA. The extension will be performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract and will support the following SIDC mission areas: AF TENCAP; the Integration Division (SIDC/ID); SIDC Det 1, Nellis; 595th Space Group (595 SG) which includes the 17th Test Squadron (17 TS) and the Advanced Space Operations School (ASOpS). The contract type is cost-plus award fee. The extension will provide for continuation of uninterrupted services of the SIDC operations described above. This four (4) month extension of services is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements" as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Not awarding a four (4) month extension would cause unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required during the four (4) month extension period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written comments or questions regarding this notice must be e-mailed to Ms. Stacy Reed at Stacy.Reed@schriever.af.mil.
