- The Government (ASC/PKOAA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is: Nanocomp Technologies, Inc. (FIRM-FIXED CONTRACT) The Products being procured are: CONTROL CABLES RG316 - cable with A1 braid RG316 - cable with silver coated copper (commercial) RG316 - cable with double layer silver coated copper (commercial) RG316 - cable with one layer of NCTI 15 gsm acid treated CNT tape spiral wrap RG316 - cable with two layers of NCTI 15 gsm acid treated CNT tape spiral wrap RG316 - cable with one layer of ASI CNT tape spiral wrap RG316 - cable with two layers of ASI CNT tape spiral wrap The Products being procured are: CNT CORE CNT Core - cable with A1 braid CNT Core - cable with silver coated copper CNT Core - cable with double layer silver coated copper CNT Core - cable with one layer of NCTI 15 gsm acid treated CNT tape spiral wrap CNT Core - cable with one layer of ASI CN tape spiral wrap The Product being procured is: Non-recurring Engineering (cable, design, test and verification) Shipping and Insurance Charges are "to be included" in the total cost (Location: United States Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433) (QUANTITY: 1 (one) each of the above) DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: "MUST BE" (ON OR BEFORE) 1 DECEMBER 2010 The "Specifications" are: Three (3) sets of 12 variants of RG316 Cables - Each set will consist of three (3) six ft. long co-axial cables (per M17/113-RG316) specification terminated with SMA connectors. - All cable sets "MUST" be produced using the exact same production equipment for consistency in the intended application. - Maximum attenuation of the cable is shown in Table 1, over the operating frequency of 10 to 3000 MHz, and should be met or exceeded for ALL cables (lower value for attenuation is better). TABLE 1: Attenuation Specifications for GS316 Coaxial Cable over the operating range M17/113-RG316 FREQUENCY (MHz): 50, 100, 400, 1,000 3,000 ATTENUATION (dB/100 ft): 5.6, 8, 16, 26, 47 Configuration Specifications for each Set are as follows: Variant A: RG316 - cable with A1 braid shielding equivalent or exceeding the performance of the specs in Table 1 Variant B: RG316 - cable with silver coated copper shielding material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the specs in table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant C: RG316 - cable with double layer silver coated copper shielding material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant D: RG316 - cable with one layer of non-metal tape wrapped shielding material equivalent or exceed the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant E: RG316 - cable with two layers of one layer of non-metal tape wrapped shielding material equivalent to the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant F: RG316 - cable with one layer of one layer of non-metal tape spiral wrapped shielding material equivalent or exceeding the Performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant G: RG316 - cable with two layers of cable with two layers of one layer of non-metal spiral tape wrapped shielding material equivalent to the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant H: RG316 - cable with non-metal conductive core cable with A1 braid material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant I: RG316 - cable with non-metal conductive core cable with silver coated copper material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant J: RG316 - cable with non-metal conductive core cable with double layer silver coated copper material equivalent or xxceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant K: RG316 - cable with non-metal conductive core cable with one layer of non-metal tape wrapped shielding material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A Variant L: RG316 - cable with non-metal conductive core cable with one layer of one layer of non-metal tape spiral wrapped shielding material equivalent or exceeding the performance of the Specs in Table 1, and the shielding effectiveness meeting or exceeding that of Variant A This notice is being published for information purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations received within four (4) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
