IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii), All responsible sources may submit acapability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be consideredby the agency SynopsisFD2030-11-80077 1.Estimated solicitation issue date 12 November 10 and estimatedclosing/response date 12 December 10. 2.RFP # SPRTA1-11-R-0064 3.PR# FD2030-11-80077 4.Nomenclature/Noun: Generator Control 5.NSN: 6110-01-344-0377HY 6.PN: CSV4092-3 7.Application (Aircraft ) C-130 8.AMC: 3/B 9.History: Previously purchased spares 71 each from Smiths Aerospace LLC-ESDayton, per contract # SPRTA1-10-C-0004, 9 November 2009. 10.Description: This item regulates the output of voltage of the aircraft system bycontrolling the amount of power delivered from the regulator to thegenerator exciter field, provides protection of the generator channel,and isolates or de-energizes the channel if performance dictates. 11.Dimensions: 15.032 inches long X 5.078 inches wide X 7.62 inches high. Weight: 12lbs. 12.Material Content: Metal case, circuit cards, electricalconnector, resistors, capacitors, rectifiers, diodes, transistors. 13.Quantity: a.Award of a Firm Fix Price contract is anticipated with a rangequantity of 5 each-minimum and 32 each-maximum. 14.Competitive 15.Mandatory Language: Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Only writtenor faxed request received directly from the requestors are acceptable.Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Justification: supplies (orServices) required are available from only or a limited number ofresponsible sources(s) and no other type of supplies or services willsatisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is forsupplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit andnegotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under theauthority of FAR 6.302. The solicitation will identify the office whereadditional information can be obtained concerning qualificationsrequirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: AnOmbudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potentialOfferors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Thepurpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the programdirector or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns,issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate governmentpersonnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strictconfidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does notparticipate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selectionprocess.
