Description
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)Public AnnouncementAirport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC) RequirementSeptember 30, 2010 The FAA hereby provides interested industry participants with the following information to aid in the planning and preparation of industry replies to the forthcoming ASSC Request for Offers (RFO). This public announcement updates previous FAA postings for ASSC as indicated below. Please note that the information provided herein is not all-inclusive and is subject to change. 1. The FAA will retain the title nomenclature of Airport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC) when referring to this requirement. TSMS will not be used. 2. This public announcement includes the following updated documents furnished to industry as DRAFT copies for information purposes: ASSC SOW Draft 6, ASSC Draft Requirements 091010 v14. 3. The FAA will host a ASSC Industry Day on October 6, 2010 at the following location: Holiday Inn550 C Street, SWWashington, DC. 20024(202) 479-4000Enclosed please find the ASSC Industry Day Briefing Package as a read-ahead copy to be used at this event.Please note: Industry participants planning to attend need to RSVP via email to; BARBARA.K.DILLON@saic.com by 12:00noon 10/5/10. Please note: Industry participants are limited to a total of three (3) representatives/entity. 4. FAA requirements for ASSC contained in the FAA market survey public announcement remain unchanged except as otherwise noted by the Government in this and future public announcements for this requirement. 5. A total of nine (9) airport sites are planned to receive the TSMS system including in alphabetical order: Andrews AFB (ADW), Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), Greater Cincinnati International Airport (CVG), Kansas City International, Louis Armstrong New Orleans Int'l, Pittsburgh Int'l, Portland International Airport (PDX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC). 6. SFO & CLE have been designated as the ASSC co-key sites which will serve as the first pre-production ASSC systems. 7. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for TSMS is 334511. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR OFFERS, NOR IS IT THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENTION TO USE THIS AS A SCREENING DEVICE FOR ANY SUCH FUTURE REQUESTS.
