Description

Other Than Full and Open Competition for JCI VFD Johnson Controls, INC has, since 1992, operated its propriety system monitoring Metasys Network System within the facility. Johnson Controls (JCI) Variable Speed Drive (VSD) model# VS0 154 11 ANP 00015HP, 480 Volts w/bypass. Remove old Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), install new JCI VSD w/ NEMA 1 rated enclosure and bypass, terminate associated wiring, program new VSD, start-up VSD and check operation, Standars warranty is 27 months from date of shipment. The National Center for Genetic Resources Preservation currently has all offices, laboratories and environmental rooms controlled through the JCI Metasys Network System. The new Variable Speed Drive (VSD) is proprietary with Metasys and needs to be installed by JCI for monitoring through Metasys. The Metasys Network System monitors all heating, cooling and air control systems. It will send alarms upon failure and will page responsible people when failure occurs. Some of the controller units are off the self and some proprietary.
