- Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition On 29 October 2010, Navy Strategic Systems Programs awarded a letter contract to Engineered Magnetics, Inc. (EMI), Inglewood, CA 90304, pertaining to the requalification of the legacy TRIDENT D5 Missile Inverter (MINV). This undefinitized action procures two MINV engineering units and support equipment required for requalification and production restart in support of the D5 Life Extension program. EMI will deliver the engineering units in FY11 and the support equipment during or before FY13. Performance will occur in Inglewood, CA. This contract could not be competetively procured as described in attached Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition 15,554.
