Description

Technical Specification Solicitation Documents The SLAC Linac consists of two buildings; The Gallery and Accelerator Housing. Each of these buildings is two miles in length. The Linac is arranged in 335' lengths called sectors. The Linac has 0-30 Sectors total. The drawings included with this document show a typical sector layout and the instances where the sector layout differs from the typical. The scope of work is for the sub contracted verification of compatibility and capability of existing Siemens MXL panel to work with new notification devices as described in these specifications and provide a complete build out of a fire alarm notification system to be installed in the Linac's housing and gallery. The system will include interface modules for communication with the existing Siemens MXL panels, monitoring TRI-R modules, power supply panels and corresponding electronics, horn strobes and manual pull stations plus a red 24V strobe at each ladder way in the housing. The design will include conduit, wiring and final connections for all installations in the housing and gallery, boxes for new equipment and new 120V power connections tapped from existing circuits. The design will be based upon the SLAC provided specifications and drawings.
