Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Alliant Healthcare Products under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This proposed contract action is for supplies to be currently used with equipment currently on station at the VA Medical Center West Roxbury Surgical Service. The Stryker/Alliant helmets are designed to go with the disposable togas that are currently in place. The batteries and charger power the helmets. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses are due by 11/4/2010 at 10:00AM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement
