Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to purchase a Power Delivery Subsystem Power Module which consists of two major components; a Power Supplement Group (PSG) and a Controlled Environment Space (CES). The PSG is a marine diesel generator (or equivalent) and the CES is an environmentally controlled space, such as a 20 foot ISO Container. The Power Module is a containerized PSG fully integrated with the CES that includes controls, safety mechanisms, and external interfaces (qty 1) in support of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS)-Variable Depth Sounder (VDS) Program. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. NAICS Code 332439, Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is unrestricted. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-11- R -0271, which is anticipated to be released on or about 11/19/2010. Vendor must be JCP certified to receive requirements document which will be provided upon release of solicitation #N66604-11- R -0271. When the solicitation is released, contact Rebecca Burns at rebecca.a.burns@navy.mil to request requirements document. Upon solicitation release submit via e-mail the solicitation #, your mailing address, JCP certification number, cage code, phone # with your request. Requirements document will be mailed via USPS. If expedited delivery is requested requirements document will be mailed via FedEx; however, contractors must provide a FedEx Account # to be FedEx ™d at contractor ™s expense. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the websites. Evaluation factors are technical approach, schedule/quality/facilities, and past performance. Each is equally important.
