Description
This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) No. DOCSSPAPT115555 is for market research purposes only and is not a solicitation for proposals. Accordingly, no contract will be awarded from this announcement. TELEPHONE CALLS OR EMAILS REQUESTING A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR ACKNOWLEDGED. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) utilizes AMX and Brahler interpretation equipment in its Global Intellectual Property Academy facility is interested in well-qualified vendors who have proven and successful past or current experience in providing audiovisual hardware preventative maintenance and repair services, and specifically for AMX and Brahler interpretation equipment, and who are certified/licensed to perform work on proprietary AMX equipment. Support services required would entail on-site inspection, cleaning, adjustment and verification of proper operation of all equipment as well as emergency telephone and email support, and maintenance agreements for repair service and parts (including removal and reinstallation after repair), and any software updates. Current USPTO AMX and Brahler equipment includes (but is not limited to): (1) AMX Electronics (Note: Contractor must be certified/licensed to provide authorized maintenance on proprietary AMX equipment): NetLinx Integrated Controller (NI-3100); NetLinx Integrated Controller (NI-4100); Dual Com Port Control Card (NXC-COM2); Multimedia Touch Panel (NXT-1500VG); 7" Modero Widescreen Video Touch Panels (NXT-CV7), and (2) Brahler Communications including software support and translation equipment: AD/DA 8-channel In/Out Converter; Dual Delegate Unit (DDV9)(approximately 18 per classroom/90 total); Single Console Interpreter (DOLV/E) Single Console Interpreter (approximately 2 per booth/3 booths per room/6 per room total); Infared radiator used with wireless Infra Com IRX12 device (HLN82B); Infared, 12-inch Receiver (IRX-12); Digital transmitter Control Console (MSI8V) Standard Chairman Unit (PV9) (approximately 1 per room/5 total) Software for Microphone Discussion System (VAN Discussion) Software for SI Controls (VAN-Interpreter); Software for Digital Recordings (VAN-Multitrack). Instructions: Interested businesses who can provide the above capabilities should respond on or before November 15 2010. Responses shall include company business size and sufficient detail/documentation of proven past and/or current maintenance experience with AMX and Brahler equipment (i.e., manufacturer relationships; years of experience with specified equipment, including any experience with Brahler, and current certifications/licenses to provide authorized maintenance on proprietary AMX equipment). Responses to this RFI shall be conducted at no cost to the Government, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Responses are voluntary and their source shall be treated as confidential. Responses marked "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly.
