Description
Blood Pressure Measure This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This is a request for information. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to identify qualified organizations that can provide a solution that will verify the blood pressure measurements through a hand-held, battery operated device. To ensure that the government receives the best device, we are seeking all available options. It is necessary that it is a small, light weight instrument and incoming readings correlate to intra-arterial pressures. Below are desired capabilities that enhance the preferred performance of a blood pressure measurement device. Desired Capabilities: 1. The device shall be able to test in an operating environment of a given temperature between 10 degrees C to 55 degrees C (-4 F to 131 F). Humidity 15-90%, non-condensing and an altitude of 500ft (152 meters) BSL to +8000ASL. 2. The device should not exceed the dimensions 2.75" H x 2.5" W x 5.2" D or weight 6.0 oz. 3. The device shall be an adaptable system, portably designed, battery operated, for both clinical and military field use. 4. The device should be a "Dual Mode" function allowing the medical responder to get an electronic reading and conveniently do a manual reading for confirmation if desired. 5. The device shall include or incorporate measures of all the blood pressure parameters: systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure and heart rate. 6. The device shall include or incorporate the "Nominal Session BP Value" (NSV). 7. The device shall filter out motion artifact, making it possible to achieve a good reading on a person who is moving. 8. The device shall include the cuff for the device, with a built-in stethoscope. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilities including organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, past experience, business status (small, large, 8A, veteran owned etc.), DUNS number. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organizations qualifications to provide the service/product. All incoming responses should not exceed two (2) pages. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. All capability statements sent in response to this Request for Information notice must be submitted, electronically (via email), to dorethas.bracey@hurlburt.af.mil and monique.pelletier@hurlburt.af.mil. Request are due by 12 November 2010 at 2:30 p.m. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. The Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future development efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted. Primary Point of Contact: Dorethas Bracey dorethas.bracey@hurlburt.af.mil 850-884-2187
