- Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source purchase order for Brake Lining Repair Kit, Engineered Arresting System Corporations part #52D673-1. NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD -- The 325th Contracting Squadron hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Engineered Arresting System Corporation (ESCO) for the acquisition of Brake Lining Repair Kit part #52D673-1. The Repair Kit is required specifically for the installation and operation of the BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting Systems which is unique to the United States Military and supports runways located on Air Force Bases worldwide for the sole purpose of facilitating the stopping force for tail hook-equipped fighter aircraft. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures (SAP), Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, and Statutory Authority: 10 USC 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This announcement constitutes the only notice. The reference number is F4ATA30291A001. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336413. The contractor shall provide the following: Brake Lining Repair Kit part #52D673-1, QTY = 10. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider capabilities of other interested parties if received no later than Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:00 noon Central Standard Time. A sole source award will be accomplished with Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation if no responses are received by the above date.
