Description
This market survey is being conducted to identify qualified vendors capable of providing the following: BACKGROUND: The Headset consists of a pair of ear cups and a cable. The Ear cushion is inside the ear cups. The Headset provides hearing protection and a talk-through function for H-374(V) 4 and (V) 5 Product Improved Combat Vehicular Crewman (PI CVC) Headsets. H-374(V) 4 and (V) 5 PI CVC Headsets are critical components of the AN/VIC-3 Vehicular Intercom System (VIS), which is installed in many combat vehicles (e.g., M1A1, M1A2, Bradley, Paladin) being used in Southwest Asia (SWA). These vehicles cannot be operated without an operational intercom because of safety and mission concerns.. SCOPE: a. This Request for Quote (RFQ) describes the tasks and efforts that will be required by the hardware vendor for production and delivery of the Army, Headset and Ear cushion. These units shall perform the functions as specified in the data package provided. This contract is an IDIQ. VIS Headset and Ear Cushion Description As previously stated, the Headset consists of a pair of ear cups and a cable. The Ear cushion is inside the ear cups. The Headset provides hearing protection and a talk-through function for H-374(V) 4 and (V) 5 Product Improved Combat Vehicular Crewman (PI CVC) Headsets. H-374(V) 4 and (V) 5 PI CVC Headsets are critical components of the AN/VIC-3 Vehicular Intercom System (VIS), which is installed in many combat vehicles (e.g., M1A1, M1A2, Bradley, Paladin) being used in Southwest Asia (SWA). Responses to this announcement should contain a Title Page and Synopsis. The title page should contain the vendor name, date, and the name and telephone number of the author and/or other points of contact. The synopsis should provide evidence of vendor experience and briefly summarize the capabilities of the vendor to support the system cited above. The synopsis should also reflect the vendors previous demonstrated performance in managing and supporting similar systems comparable in size and complexity. Vendors must provide the information in writing to CECOM, LRC, Building 1202E 1st Floor Pole 6, ATTN: RDER-PRA-LE, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000.
