- Description
- The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Project Manager for Ground Combat Tactical Trainers (PM GCTT) has a requirement for a CDT POR to support the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) schools with institutional driver training and unit commands with driver sustainment training. Market research is being conducted to determine technology and production capabilities of industry for the prospective CDT POR. The CDT POR will be a continuation of the CDT training system product line and will reuse and/or extend the existing product line to focus on meeting the needs of all future CDT variants / vehicles / target systems. The CDT product line is defined as a set of software and hardware intensive systems sharing a common, managed set of features that satisfy the specific needs of the driver training missions. The current CDT training systems were developed from a common set of core assets. This common set of core assets will need to be extended and/or reused to: " Meet the requirements for new families of vehicles " Meet the needs and requirements of the user training community (e.g., SECore, Interoperability) " Provide for technical refresh due to obsolescence throughout the lifecycle of all CDT systems while maintaining compatibility " Meet supportability requirements Intent of this RFI: It is the intent of this RFI to accomplish two things: 1) Request letters of interest from potential offerors to be utilized by PEO STRI in support of continuous market research toward CDT requirements. 2) Request capability statements to develop an acquisition strategy to meet the CDT user community, TRADOC and unit driver training needs. Capability statements will not be utilized for any purpose other than for market research. See Attachment for Program Description and Additional Information. All questions pertaining to this RFI must be received no later than 23 November, 2010. Send Questions and Comments via email to the Contract Specialists to listed below using the attached CDT POR RFI Q&A form. Questions with answers will be posted as an update to the RFI.
