- This NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial items. The authority for this award is FAR 13.003(g)(2). This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), on behalf of the US Army Garrison (USAG), Fort Belvoir, VA, has a requirement for water and wastewater service for Rivanna Station, Charlottesville, VA. Subject requirement is in support of the Directorate of Public Works. MICC intends to limit sources considered to Albemarle County Service Authority. Albemarle County Service Authority is the only source deemed capable of fulfilling the requirement and the only interested current provider to Rivanna Station. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes; nor a solicitation of offers. This contract is to be awarded under Agreement # W91QV1-11-H-0001. A determination not to compete this action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the contract specialist below within 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist, MICC ATTN: Pauline Eaves, 9410 Jackson Loop, Suite 110, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5116. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
