Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. This posting is for market research purposes only. Large businesses need not respond. The General Services Administration (GSA), Manhattan Service Center in New York City, New York is conducting market research to determine if there are any Small Businesses that have the current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform the work described herein. GSA intends to solicit for a Full Service Elevator and Escalator Maintenance Contract which will require an on-site mechanic during normal working hours -- 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday to Friday. The Federal Office Building is located at 201 Varick Street in downtown New York City, New York and has 18 traction elevators, 1 hydraulic elevator, and 4 escalators. All elevator and escalator operations, tests, inspections, maintenance, alterations, and repairs performed under the proposed contract shall comply with the latest editions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) publication A17.1, "Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators." The anticipated period of performance is a 3-year base period with two (2) one-year option periods. The anticipated solicitation will be competed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Source Selection Processes and Techniques. Award will be made to the proposal offering the best value to the Government. The successful firm will need to be able to demonstrate that they have at least 5 years current experience performing elevator and escalator maintenance services. All qualified Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information received from this Sources Sought Notice. One of the main purposes of this Sources Sought Notice is to assist the Contracting Officer in determining if a Set-Aside is the acceptable strategy for the procurement.
