- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ is looking to procure a Cooling Tower that meets the following requirements: 1. Test Start date of June 2011 2. Delivery and installed by May 2011. Rental of the cooling tower is planned to commence the first week in May 2011 and will last for 3 months. Actual delivery date needs to be flexible with the Government providing a minimum of 60 days notice prior to delivery. 3. Test site has a 30,000 gallon underground fresh water storage tank 4. Test site has 2 pumps in parallel pushing 1500 gallons per minute of cooling water 5. Maximum operating discharge temperature is 210F with no minimum temperature 6. Maximum inlet water temperature is approximately 100F with no minimum temperature except being above freezing point (32F) 7. Heat into system is 8,000 BTU/s and heat flux is 660 BTU/s-ft² 8. Worst case scenario is 600 seconds of heat with 45 minute cool down between test events 9. Must pull and dump water from / to the underground water storage tank - no direct connection with our equipment 10. Request that contractor provide shipping / installation / removal / pumps required for cooler 11. Cooler must fit inside a 20 ft (W) x 50 ft (L) paved footprint 12. Cooler must use less than 300 Amps @ 480V 13. Must be able to operate in freezing weather conditions 14. Must be able to operate in New Jersey summer climate (high heat and humidity) A site visit will be required for all interested vendors. The site visit will be done on 15 December 2010. Interested vendors will contact the Contract Specialist mentioned below. After site visit, vendors will have 5 days to provide quote to the Contract Specialist. The quote will include monthly rental fee and inside delivery and removal of cooling tower. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation; this announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following additional information is required as part of the quotation: company name and address; company point of contact; phone and fax number; email address; business size, FOB destination or origin (freight prepaid and add); payment terms; cage code; duns number, and Tax ID number. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) Database. The internet website is http://www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil/ccringq or www.ccr.gov. It is mandatory to register with the CCR as your Duns Number (Data Universal Numbering System) and your CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. In addition, all invoices will be electronically submitted in the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF); information available in FAR Clause 5252.232-9513.
