- The Government intends to negotiate an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery type contract for provide audio/visual equipment and related peripherals in support of Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Fleet Logistics Department, Norfolk, VA. The resulting contract will be for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. This requirement will be issued under a 100% small business set aside in accordance with FAR Part 6.2, with options to extend the term of the contract in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-8 and 52.217-9. The procurement will be conducted using the procedures and policies of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This requirement is to have a catalog of audio/visual products available through the Department of Defense (DoD) E-Mall website for e-commerce ordering in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The purpose of the resultant contract is to provide all United States (U.S.) Naval activities (defined as all U.S. Naval ashore and afloat units in Virginia ™s Hampton Roads Area) with a full range of quality audio/visual products, at discounted prices, with delivery within the Hampton Roads area. The supplies/equipment offered shall be of the type that is typically carried and offered in standard electronic stores. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. A complete Request for Proposal (RFP) package is anticipated to be available around 24 November 2010. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. Once available, the RFP package can be downloaded from the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website as follows: https://www.neco.navy.mil or accessed through https://www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above sites; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. The contracting officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerors at anytime prior to award. The prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the U.S. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
