Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure, on a competitive basis, AST-9 Radar Transmitters in accordance with NAWCWD Statements of Work, and NAVAIR Drawings 1236AS2230. The AST-9 Radar Transmitters required under this procurement are state-of-the-art, high power, airborne units utilized to provide transmission of RF pulsed signals for various electronic systems. The AST-9 Radar Transmitter is a pulse modulated radar threat simulator that is usable in land, air and sea environments. The multiple environment and usage requirements (target drones, aircraft pods, shipboard and ground vehicles) impose restrictions as to size; weight and support requirements in all cases, the modulator shall interface with military and commercial magnetrons. These systems are used to evaluate U.S. Weapons systems and to train Fleet operators. Pricing of the AST-9 Radar Transmitter shall be on a fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis and pricing for the Engineering, Technical and Repair support services shall be on a time and material basis. Contract award may be made on a First Article Required or First Article Waived basis for the AST-9 Radar Transmitters. The Government reserves the right to waive First Article for AST-9 Radar Transmitters that have been previously delivered by an offeror and accepted by the Government within the last two years. A minimum of 1 unit will be ordered at contract award, and a maximum of 75 units total of the AST-9 Radar Transmitters may be ordered over the five-year period of performance. Delivery of all units shall be FOB Destination to Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, CA beginning no later than 330 days after the effective date of the delivery order at a rate no less than 4 units per month.
