- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a synopsis for commercial items and services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the synopsis. 2. This synopsis serves as notification to industry of the requirement of IP based radio production and distribution equipment to include Radio in a Box and Head End equipment which includes content delivery, production, RIAB test systems. This requirement includes training and installation. Specific details of this procurement will be available when the solicitation is issued on or about 24 November 2010. 3. Place of Performance will be Bagram, Afghanistan. 4. Solicitation number: W52P1J-11-T-3017 5. The requirement may be solicited for full and open competition. This acquisition may utilize Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Procedures. 6. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 334220. 7. However, no information to that effect is provided at this time and all interested parties are advised to continue to check FedBizOpps and Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) for further announcements. 8. Do not mistake this synopsis as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this synopsis.
