- Description
- Single award contract from 1/1/11 to as late as 12/31/13 for the Dept. of Justice and other Government Agencies. Production of work assumed within 16 km (10 miles) of Los Angeles, CA. Contract is for scanning, copying of legal case files. Approx. one to six (avg. three) orders per month, for approx. one to eight (avg. 1) copy (ies) of approx. 50 to 100,000 (avg. 12,000) original pages per order, to be typically copied to final size of 216 x 279 mm (8-1/2 x 11"). Contractor must be open for business 24 hrs per day, seven days per week. The contractor must have sufficient on-site equipment and regularly staffed employees to be able to make as many as five copies of each of as many as 60,000 legal documents of varied size, condition and assembly within a 24-hour period. Required operations include (on-site) digital scanning and/or copying of sensitive Government-furnished legal case file source documents, requiring such operations as document preparation/unitization, disassembly and hand-feeding of original documents; (on-site) document scanning, black-only and four-color process copying; document ("Bates") numbering and/or endorsement (physical or digital assignment of an image key to each page); generation of ASCII text files using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) conversion; generation of Adobe Acrobat "Text + Image" PDF files; coding, indexing; generation of IPRO LFP, Summation DII and Concordance DAT load files; re-assembly and re-construction of furnished hardcopy originals; generation of black-only and four-color process "blowback" paper copies from furnished or contractor-created digital files; temporary storage of Government documents for third-party reproduction, drilling, provision of legal index exhibit dividers, folders, three-ring binders; archiving onto CD-R and/or DVD-R discs; packing and delivery.
