Description
New Manufactured Material: A firm fixed price type contract iscontemplated. The items, estimated quantities and required deliveriesare as follows: CLIN 0001: NSN: 1560-01-036-6853 AW, P/N: 204-70013-2S;NOUN: Fairing, Aircraft APPLICATION: E-3, Description: Function:Function: The Fairing is a secondary structure to the Strut Assy. andis essential in air flow and flight control. Dimensions: 42" l x 15" w x13" h and it weighs 40 lbs. Material: Titanium, steel and steel alloys.CURRENT QTY: 8 (revalidation range 2-12); DELIVERY: all units deliveredby 30 March 2013. AMC: 1G No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directlyfrom the requestors are acceptable. Fax Number is (405)739-5493, ATTN:Lyndsey Shirazi Qualification Requirements: Current qualified sources are: Boeing Company (Cage: 81205), Authority:10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required areavailable from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) andno other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.The proposed contract action is for supplies in which the Governmentintends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number ofsources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilityto respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Project Rights Guard. Must be Export Controlled Approved. Bonding source must be on approved list. This is a 100% small business set aside. First Article requirements apply. This is a full and open requirement. All proposals received within 45days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered bythe Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete thisproposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely withinthe discretion of the Government. Information received will normally beconsidered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct acompetitive procurement. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However,interested persons may identify to the contracting officer theirinterest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with acommercial item within 15 days of this notice. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested insubcontracting opportunities in connection with the describedprocurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans,or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or notavailable and cannot be furnished by the Government. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However,interested persons may identify to the contracting officer theirinterest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with acommercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors orpotential Offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested,the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of theconcern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation ofproposals or in the source selection process.
