Description

Sole Source Justification FOCUSED GAUSSIAN OPTICS LENS AND ANTENNA COMBINATION: The solicitation number is FA8601-11-T-0029. The NAICS Code is 334516. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Millitech, Northampton, MA. The purchase is for a Focused Gaussian Optics Lens and Antenna. The Gaussian optics transmission is required because of the ability to separate a beam into its orthogonally-polarized components for dual polarization operation or can be utilized in the single polarization mode. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any information received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
