- Synopsis - Tyndall AFB, FL - Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) - FA4819-10-R-0006 In accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.207, Tyndall AFB, FL intends to solicit competitive 8(a) offers for the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER)Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The work is required in support of the 325th Civil Engineering Squadron (325 CES). During the contract period, construction tasks will be identified to the contractor who then must furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish the job. Individual jobs will vary in regards to dollar value and the estimated numbed of delivery orders per year will range between 30 and 75. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades such as carpentry, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, demolition and concrete masonry. This requirement is set aside exclusively as a competitive 8(a). The anticipated contract period of performance is one (1) twelve month period and four (4) twelve month options. Performance will take place at Tyndall AFB, FL and the contractor shall be required to maintain a management office on the base in order to receive work requests and to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. The cummulative magnitude of the Basic Performance Period and each Option Period combined is IAW FAR 36.204(h). The anticipated minimum guaranteed amount of the proposed contract is estimated to be $5,000 for the life of the contract. Primary NAICS Code that pertains to this acquisition is 236220. Solicitation is estimated to be released on FBO on/around 1 Jan 2011. Site visit information will be addressed in the solicitation. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.
