Description

The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Norfolk intends to issue a purchase order with Fairbanks Morse., for the following Diesel engine parts: 1. 16ea, Fuel Injection Pump, P/N: 23200123-1 2. 16ea, Fuel Pump Support, P/N: 24610940 3. 16ea, Camshaft Bearings, P/N: 2161332 4. 16ea, Camshaft Sect, intermediate cylinders P/N: 2610183 5. Gaskets, shims, elbows, tees, bolts nuts, lock washers Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.320-1(a)(2)(iii) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Fairbanks Morse is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacturer the required parts. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information concerning the acquisition, contact Mr. Douglas G.
