- Description
- The contractor shall design and construct a new consolidated elementary school facility (not to exceed 129,577 SF). The new facility shall serve 750 students, Pre-K through 5th Grade. Facility shall be Georgian style and include a standing seam metal roof. Facility shall be ADA accessible and shall contain classrooms, offices, auditorium, cafeteria, restrooms, and mechanical/equipment spaces. Systems included electrical (lighting and power), teledata (interior/exterior infrastructure, wiring, cabling, spaces, raceways, & outlets/jacks); fire protection & suppression; mechanical systems (plumbing, heating ventilation system and air conditioning). The school shall incorporate advanced communication systems to support technology program requirements. Supporting facilities work includes site and building utility connections (water, natural gas, sanitary and storm sewers, electrical, telephone and local area network(LAN), paving and site improvements includes exterior site and building lighting, paved parking & sidewalks, security fencing, earthwork, grading & landscaping. Compliance with Stormwater management (VA), & Low Impact Development (VA & NAVFAC), and Erosion & Sediment Control (VA) are required. Compliance with NCPC & VA SHPO are required.
