- MEMORANDUM FOR Potential Sources FROM: HQ AMC/A7KQA 507 Symington Drive, Room W202 Scott AFB IL 62225-5015 SUBJECT: Request for Information The United States Air Force, Air Mobility Command (AMC), is seeking a source or sources to provide a total of 378 advanced negative pressure wound therapy systems. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this synopsis. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. This notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the products as described herein. AMC is currently conducting market research to determine qualified and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. The following salient characteristics are required for the wound therapy systems: 1) must be certified "safe to fly" for fixed and rotary wing aircraft by the DOD Medical Standardization Board 2) unit weight less than 4 pounds (lbs) 3) provide negative pressure of 50-200mm HG that may be applied continuously or intermittently 4) have a battery life of approximately 12 hours 5) battery should be able to charge up to approximately 70 percent capacity in four (4) hours or less 6) battery should be able to charge to full capacity in approximately 12hrs 7) battery charger input should be approximately 100-240 VAC, 50/60 HZ, 1 AMP 8) battery charger output should be approximately 18 VDC, 5 AMPS The system must include, at a minimum, the following: 1) the vacuum assisted closure (V.A.C.) unit with flight certified decal 2) power cord 3) soft V.A.C. unit case 4) quick reference guide 5) hard carrying case If your firm has an interest in proposing on the product described above, please provide to Mr. David Hoag, Contract Specialist, david.hoag@scott.af.mil; your company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, and general description of the company and descriptive product literature.
