- The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, National Programs intends to award a contract to Marriott Hotels and Resorts to host the ARS National Program 101 Food Animal Production Workshop being held on March 29-30, 2011 in Baltimore, MD. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. Responses to this notice of intent should only be hotels that can provide ALL of the following: 1) Access to transportation to and from a Baltimore-area hotel to limit the use of rental cars; 2) the ability to provide a lodging room block for approximately 100 lodging rooms, at or below the per diem rate for all workshop participants; 3) a plenary session room large enough to hold 175 people classroom style, plus 7 break out rooms; 4) service to provide on-site meals and refreshments at a reasonable cost; and, 5) audio-visual equipment, projector screens and staff on hand for A/V assistance. Responses should be submitted no later than 4pm EST, December 10, 2010 to the attention of Kelli Lightfoot via email to kelli.lightfoot@ars.usda.gov. All qualifying responses will be considered. Responses will be evaluated based on the criteria listed above in this notice.
