Description
This attachment is the National Stock Number Listing for the related effort. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response date of this Sources Sought announcement from 24 November 2010 to 8 December 2010. Please see attachment 1 for a listing of National Stock Numbers (NSNs) related to this effort. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. BACKGROUND: Naval Air Systems Command, Aircrew Systems (NAVAIR PMA202) of Patuxent River, MD is conducting a market survey to identify vendors with the capability to manufacture a Flame Resistant Flight Deck Trouser. The objective of this survey is to certify vendors who could potentially supply the Flame Resistant Flight Deck Trouser in accordance with NCTRF PD 11-07B, dated 4 October 2010, which may be requested from NAVAIR's TPOC listed below. The Navy has approved a revised purchase description for the flight deck trouser to update the requirements of the flame resistant material. The trouser(s) shall be constructed in accordance with NCTRF PD 11-07B, dated 4 October 2010, Trouser, Flight Deck, Flame Resistant. The fabric for making the trouser must meet the requirements of NCTRF PD 11-07B. The trouser is fabricated in two colors, navy blue and khaki. Interested manufacturers are requested to submit 2 sample pairs of the trousers in each color the manufacturer is interested in supplying, fabricated from Navy patterns and in accordance with NCTRF PD 11-07B. The sample trousers shall be fabricated in size 34 regular. In addition, manufacturers are requested to provide 5 yards of the basic material used in the fabrication as well as independent, certified laboratory data demonstrating the basic material meets the specified requirements. If the trousers are found to be acceptable for certification, the Navy shall retain one pair and the second pair shall be returned to the vendor to be held with the certification approval. Specification sheets, drawings and photographs are requested from all interested sources at no cost to the Government. Product information shall be submitted at no expense to the Government and will not be returned unless the trouser meets certification requirements, at which time one of the two submitted pairs will be returned. Proprietary data MUST be marked on a page-by-page basis, and will be kept confidential and protected in accordance with the Uniform Trades Secret Act. Interested sources shall state whether their product is available commercially. In addition, pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2533a, vendors must certify their product is Berry Amendment compliant - manufacturers must list the origin and place of manufacturing operations of all components. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this acquisition are 315211 Men's and Boy's Cut and Sew Apparel, 424320 - Men's and Boys Clothing and Furnishings Merchant Wholesalers, and 424330 - Women's, Children's, and Infants Clothing and Accessories Merchant Wholesalers Companies responding to this request for information should send all responses to DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY, NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT (Air 2.4.2.2), ATTN: PeKita Taliaferro, 2.4.2.2.2, 47123 Buse Road, Bldg 2272 Room 256, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127.
