Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation ; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-11-T-0030 and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219 and the business size standard is 19 MIL., Fleet Contracting Center, Naval Air Station Jacksonville Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis the following line items. This procurement is set a side for small business UPGRADE/REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE ON NINE (9) GOVERNMENT OWNED FURNACE OVERS AND PERFORM TEMPERATURE UNIFORMITY AND SYSTEM ACCURACY TEST ON 17 FURANCE/OVENS LOCATED AT FRC-SE FOR THE PERIOD OF 12 MOS. STATEMENT OF WORK The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to perform temperature uniformity surveys (TUS), system accuracy tests (SAT), repairs as listed below, thermocouple replacements, pyrometry training, and develop and maintain data records in accordance with all provisions of the Ams 2750D, for the provided list of 18 furnaces and ovens used for heat treatment processes for a time period not to exceed one year. The suggested repairs are annotated on a separate list of nine furnaces. On Despatch oven 3, model V-45 Std, located within building 794 at the FRSCE, perform repairs consisting of door seal replacement and door adjustments to modify heat transfer to thermocouples 3 and 4 to allow oven to comply with class 5 temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On Despatch oven 6, model V-45 TT, located within building 794 at the FRSCE, perform repairs consisting of checking heat sources and seals to adjust heat flow patterns to modify heat transfer to thermocouples 6 and 9 to allow oven to comply with class 5 temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On Upton pit furnace, model UEP-72-96-250-460-3, located within building 797 at the FRSCE, adjust ramp rate within the controller to prevent overshooting and to comply with temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks for class 2 furnaces in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On the GM vacuum furnace, model HVF-701 vacuum furnace, located within building 797 at the FRSCE, adjust the heating elements rheostats to increase the heat output to modify heat transfer to thermocouples 3, 8, and 9 to allow oven to comply with class 2 temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On the Hayes furnace, model HBO-484848-14E, located within building 797 at the FRSCE, adjust the heating flow pattern to modify heat transfer to thermocouple 8 to allow oven to comply with class 3 temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On the Abar Ipsen box furnace, model ADLC-3000-ER, located within building 794 at the FRSCE, adjust the heating flow pattern to modify heat transfer to thermocouples 3, 8, and 9 by replacing door seals and adjusting the door, to allow oven to comply with class 2 temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy checks in accordance with the Ams 2750D. On the T-M vacuum furnace, model TR 12/24.13HP, located within building 840 at the FRCSE, adjust heating rate to remedy any overshooting at thermocouple 3. Adjust elements to provide uniformity to allow compliance with a class 2 furnace in accordance with Ams2750D. Install a nine thermocouple pass-through to allow compliance with the Ams 2750D. On the Lindberg box furnace, model 93-SH-304830-12, located within building 840, replace door seals to adjust heating patterns at thermocouples 3, 4, 8, and 9 to allow compliance for a class 2 furnace temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy tests in accordance with the Ams 2750D.
