- Description
- NASA/KSC has a requirement for two (2) modified IonCams 2020 Gas Chromatograph/MassSpectrometer instruments. NASA/KSC intends to purchase these instruments from, CMS Field Products aka OIAnalytical, 2148 Pelham Parkway BLDG 400, Pelham, AL 35124-1192. The IonCam 2020 is the only integrated compact GC-MS available that has demonstrated theability to detect the low mass range (1 amu) and collect an entire mass spectra at a rateof 10 hertz or faster.The unique non-scanning nature of the IonCCD detector is the onlydetection system for a mass spectrometer that can collect the entire mass spectrum with ahigh data acquisition speed (greater than 10 Hz). OI Analytical has several patents onthis instrument. The company has expertise in gas chromatography and mass spectrometrywith a range of instruments available for various analytical monitoring. OI Analyticalis ISO 9001:2000 certified for the design, development, manufacture and service ofanalytical instruments. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon November 15, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
