- Description
- An oral request for quotation will be solicited for the following items: Tent Body, Two Doors, 2-Man Combat Tent 150 each, NSN: 8340-01-464-0809 Rainfly Bag, 2-Man Combat Tent 1,200 each, NSN: 8340-01-464-0370 Pole Bag, Two Doors, 2-Man Combat Tent 500 each NSN: 8340-01-464-0395 These items are to be manufactured in accordance in accordance with Purchase Description CN-PD 02-03, dated January 13, 2010. This solicitation will be Unrestricted; no set-asides will be utilized. The destinations for the Tent Body, Two Doors and the Rainfly Bag are SG2 (Defense Distribution Depot, Barstow, CA) and AN5 (Defense Distribution Depot, New Cumberland, PA), and the destination for the Pole Bag is AN5 (Defense Distriubtion Depot, New Cumberland, PA) only. The Tent Body and Rainfly Bag will be due in three incremental deliveries being due 120 days after date of award and the final delivery being due 180 days after date of award. The Pole Bag will be due in one delivery 120 days after date of award. One First Article Sample for each NSN will be due 75 days after date of award. Specifications, patterns, drawings or other applicable documents, can be obtained by contacting Kim Hartzell by e-mail at kimberly.hartzell@dla.mil until November 19, 2010. Written quotations will be requested simultaneously with this announcement until November 29, 2010. DFARS clause 252.211-7006 "Radio Frequency Identification" applies to this solicitation. The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
