Description
Introducti0on: Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the US Army Combat Feeding directorate, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: Catherine E. Kurkjian, 43 Briarwood Circle, Needham, MA 02494. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. RESPONSES WILL BE USED FOR FUTURE ACQUISITIONS ONLY. Contractor Is an essential part of CFD mission, based on her level of expertise and knowledge of CFD document preparation and technical support processes and procedure that Is unique to the Government. The contractor converts technical data received from CFD project managers/food technologists and Industry Into formal procurement documents such as a Performance based Contract Requirement (PCR) or a detailed or performance Military Specification (MIL-DTL or MIL-PRF) or a Packaging and Quality Assurance Requirements Document (PKG&QAP) with 100% accuracy In the current established format using Microsoft Word. The contractor Is responsible for developing the document, coordinating with all applicable government agencies and Industry, resolving comments received from government agencies and Industry, and preparing the document for final approval reviews. The project folders, historical folders and the electronic flies will be maintained In accordance with CFO established procedures. The contractor has worked for FEST on document preparation for the past 2 years. The loss of contractor would Impact by having to start from scratch to train someone In DLA and CFD standardization process and procedures and timely responses to DSCP for procurement documents. Contract Is for a limited amount of hours.
