Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources and information for an AN/PRC-117F, Radio Power Adaptor (117F RPA). The notional AN/PRC-117F RPA should provide the following capabilities at a minimum: sufficiently rugged to operate over all environmental conditions; capable of providing direct connection and power for one AN/PRC-117F radio in place of or attached to the battery box; complete turnkey system composed of all components packaged together as a kit, including items required to setup and operate. It is required that the RPA117F operate with input power of 11-36 Volts DC, 95-270 Volts AC, and AC frequency input of 47-440 Hertz. Power output must support the AN/PRC-117F in all operational modes. It shall have an auxiliary output between 24 “ 29.5 VDC at no less than 5Amp for external equipment. An internal battery / UPS, external port for the speaker output, and total weight not to exceed 6 pounds (with battery/UPS) are required attributes. The AN/PRC-117F-RPA shall be capable of operating with BB-2590/U, BA-5590, and BA-5390 batteries. The AN/PRC-117F-RPA shall be provided with either a BB-2590/U, BA-5590, or BA-5390 batteries. The Governments seeks to ascertain degree to which the requirements can be met with current or planned products, the developmental or production ready status of products, and whether products are available via Federal Supply Schedules (GSA Advantage). This data will help the Government shape its acquisition strategy for this capability. This sources-sought / Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information.
