- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER: Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) As part of Operations and Maintenance, Army, Recovery Act, this modification has been issued to Hartman Walsh Painting Company, to perform the following work: Fall River Lake--Repair Cracked Weld on Tainter Gate No. 6: 1.1 Provide labor, materials and equipment to repair the two cracked welds identified on the gusset plates attached to the east trunnion arm cross brace on tainter gate No. 8. Work includes: Provide labor, material and equipment to remove the attached gussett plates and remove all rust by grinding or mechanically cleaning and check condition of the braces. After cleaning and removal of all pack rust is completed make the necessary preparations to re-weld in the same location new 1/2-inch thick A36 steel gusset plates with the same type of weld as previously used. The final step will be to seal all sides and of the plates with a single pass weld on all open edges. 1.2 All steel repairs shall follow specification 05 05 50 of the original contract. All welds, procedures, qualifications, personnel etc., shall conform to the original construction specifications section 05 05 50 and as directed from the USACE Tulsa District EC-DC. All replaced steel components shall be properly prepared and painted per specification 099702 section.
