Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This sources sought notice is hereby modified to correct any reference to Bay Pines VA Medical Center. The project is for boiler plant at the Miami VA Healthcare System, Miami, FL. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management is looking for potential small, bondable, and experienced businesses certified in the following categories: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), (3) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) including 8(a), (4) HUBZone, and (5) Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) for the Miami VA Healthcare System, Miami, FL. The firm must be a General Construction Firm with an approved NAICS Code 236220, Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. The estimated cost for this project is between $1 Million and $2 Million. The projected work consists of repair/replacement of various components and systems associated with the two (2) 400 HP dual-fuel steam boilers at the VAMC in Miami, FL. Major elements of work to be addressed include: upsizing of existing exhaust stack between boilers and vertical chimney, replacement of inline fans, replacement of the boiler control system, replacement of various safety-related devices, valves, and fittings, minor re-piping, and installation of mechanical cooling/ventilation in boiler control/electrical rooms. The VA is seeking firms experienced in boiler plant installation/repair, electronic control system installation, and HVAC system installation. In order to demonstrate such experience, interested firms shall submit: capability statements describing related projects of similar size and complexity, personnel qualifications indicating experience with local code compliance, and proof of SDVOSB designation (proof of certification). This is a Market Survey to determine if there are a sufficient number of small business concerns with the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements including the NAICS code and size standard for small business you are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Solicitations may or may not be set aside for small businesses depending on the results obtained from this Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI). Responses should include detailed information on the following: Construction experience of similar projects in size and complexity (attach company profile/capability statement and list of experience and qualifications as listed above); and provide the following: Small Business Category: SDVOSB, VOSB, SDB, HubZone, 8a, WOSB, SB; Large Business: Yes/No; Company's Name; Company's Address; DUNS Number; Company Representative's Name; Company Representative's Phone Number and email address;Available Bonding Capacity: Individual /Aggregate. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (NOT A SOLICITATION) AND THE GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING INFORMATION FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.
