Description
AutoCAD drawing referenced in Answer 1. The following questions and answers are hereby posted for clarification purposes only. No further changes are made to the market survey as a result of the question and answers listed below unless noted: Q1. On page 2 of the survey, it states, "There is approximately 30'x34' of space available for equipment installation." What is the height available in this 30'x34' space? Answer: The allotted space is not uniform in height, please see Attachment 2 (CAD drawing) for dimensions (note: measured values are in inches). Q2. Regarding section 3.p "Is equipment Hatchable?" Can you explain what is meant by "Hatchable"? Answer: Hatchable means can it be brought into the space through the existing hatches and doors. Typically the equipment would be 30 inches or less in width. There are other options to disassemble the equipment and bring it in or to make a hull cut and install it through the side. Q3. MEPC 159(55) makes reference to a ships maximum tilt. Can you provide a range of tilt that would be encountered with the USS Mt. Whitney? Answer: In port, typical list is less than 1 degree. At sea, rolls typically are about 5 degrees.
