Description
NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the followingCommercial item/services: Land Mobile Radio Maintenance. The Land Mobile Radio (LMR)System is used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/Goddard SpaceFlight Center (GSFC) at Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) to support emergency preparednesscommunications requirements in addition to routine day-to-day mission, logistics, safety,security, environmental, mechanical, information services, facilities, and communicationneeds.The WFF LMR system is a M/A-Com/Tyco Electronics trunked, narrow band VHF,multi-site Enhanced Digital Access Communication System (EDACS). The WFF LMR systemconsists of an integrated multi-site controller (IMC), communication system director(CSD) server, CSD workstation, three C3 maestro dispatch consoles, Nice Call Focuslogging recorder, and two 5 channelsites (multi-site) MASTR III trunking stations. Thesystem infrastructure does not include end user radios such as handhelds/portable,mobiles, and desktop radios. The system is NOT VOIP. Provider must be a certified M/ACom/Tyco Electronics Authorized services provider for a multi-site trunked enhanceddigital access communication system. Proof of certification shall be provided within theproposal package. Provider must be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days ayear. 2 hour response time to LMR problems (provider must be able to be on-site within 2 hours) and monitor WFF LMR alarms remotely. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334220 and 750 employees respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNG11366519Q is on or about December 24, 2010, withan anticipated due date of on or about January 4, 2011.All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been as appointed.
