Description
The US Army Contracting Command, Joint Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source effort with Fairchild Imaging, 1801 McCarthy Boulevard, Milpitas, CA, 95035-7407; however, responsible offerors may submit a capability statement, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. This camera was developed as part of a Phase II SBIR effort with Fairchild Imaging. Acquisition of this requirement from another vendor would result in a significant duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through the use of competition. This acquisition is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 331315 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The type of contract action being used is a firm fixed price purchase order. The Government has a need to purchase a quantity of one CAM2051 High Resolution, High Speed, Low Noise Scientific Camera. This particular camera is required due to its ability to support the optics laboratory and the development of state-of-the-art hyperspectral analysis. The ARDEC objective has been to make a practical Hyperscope available to the troops. The point of contact for this requirement is Scott Dern, CCJM-JA, Bldg. 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Any inquiries/submissions in response to this notice should be made via e-mail to: scott.dern@us.army.mil
