- Joint DoD Component Industry Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Commercialization Pilot Program (CPP) Technology Interchange Workshops JOINT DoD COMPONENT INDUSTRY SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP) TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOPS. The Air Force, Navy, Army, and Missile Defense Agency will conduct multiple technology interchange workshops between May and December 2011 at major contractor facilities. As with similar prior workshops, the Air Force transition support program will provide each major contractor hosting a workshop with a data mining search capability to identify small businesses with Phase II SBIR projects of potential interest as solutions to the major contractor technology-based needs. The government team will also help facilitate the workshop. In similar fashion to other Air Force CPP workshops, facilitization of one-on-one sessions between small businesses and the host major contractor will occur. Major contractors with interest in participating in this activity must contact the listed POC below by either email or on official corporate letterhead to express their company's desire to participate. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not obligate the government in any way. Response to this request is voluntary and will not have influence on any future acquisitions. RESPONSE: Please respond, to the appropriate point of contact, within 22 business days of the publication of this announcement with your request to host one of the planned workshops. RESTRICTIONS: Interested companies must be major contractors and be U.S. defense companies ONLY. In order to attend, you must be either be a DoD employee or a DoD contractor with a valid DD Form 2345, Military Critical Data Agreement. LIMITATIONS: Due to resource constraints, and our expectations for responses to this announcement, we anticipate having to select from a number of responding companies to participate in these activities.
