- Listing of Blocked File Extensions Statement of Work - Sources Sought Notice THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. We are performing Market Research to determine potential small business firms capable of providing the services described in the Statement of Work (SOW) prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources capable of providing Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services to deaf or hard of hearing members of the public (customers) who communicate via American Sign Language (ASL). The VRI services will allow customers to communicate with employees. This requirement is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Government intends to award one requirements type contract under which the agency can place firm fixed price task orders for the required services. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 541930, Translation and Interpretation Services, and the small business size standard is $7.0M. See attached Statement of Work. RESPONSE REQUIREMENTS: Interested parties are invited to submit a Capabilities Statement that clearly defines the firm's ability to perform the work stated in this notice. The Capabilities Statement must contain a cover letter including the company name, address, contact name, telephone, email address, DUNS number, and business classification as established by the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Parties must identify all the following small business size classification(s) for which it qualifies such as small business, services disabled veteran-owned small business, 8(a), women-owned, and HUB Zone. Your Capabilities Statement must be submitted electronically. Responses must be received by Friday, December 17, 2010 4:00 PM, EST via submission by email to: Melissa.Kloman@ssa.gov. The size limitation for email attachments is 5 megabytes. Due to the high risk of virus infection of many types of files, SSA has a security policy in place to block the transmission of certain file types via E-mail. This means that any message attachments with the listed filename extensions will be stripped from all E-mail messages automatically (whether or not the files are infected with a virus). Attached is the current list of blocked filename extensions. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY SERVICES, NOR DOES SSA INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
