- U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City Office, 601 East 12th Street, Room 1756, Kansas City, Missouri 64106 This publication serves as a notice of intent to solicit a quote for the acquisition of FAST GPS turtle monitoring tags to be utilized by the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC) located in Miami, FL from Wildlife Computers Incorporated, Redmond, WA. The government intends to procure the FAST GPS tags under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-2. The government intends to issue a fixed price purchase order to Wildlife Computers Incorporated to supply 30 FAST GPS tags to be used to monitor sea turtles in the vicinity of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The results of market research substantiate that Wildlife Computers Incorporated is the only source that is capable of supplying tags that meet the specifications needed for this project FAR 6.302-1. Wildlife Computers Incorporated holds all of the proprietary engineering and manufacturing documents. This acquisition is estimated at $150,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. However, all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the government. Responses can be faxed to Carey Marlow at (816) 274-6923 or sent via email to carey.m.marlow@noaa.gov. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City Office requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov.
