Description
Program SOW Draft RFP The purpose of this posting is to publish the DRAFT RFP for Architectural and Enineering Services for the preliminary design of the Science and User Suoopr Building (SUSB). Please review the document in its entirety. In response to the DRAFT RFP issued, the University will accept questions and comments submitted to the procurement specialist at sherrie @slac.stanford.edu. The subject line should clearly read: "Question in response to DRAFT SUSB RFP". Questions/Comments are due by 4:00pm, January 7, 2011. Questions will only be accepted in writing by the potential General Contractor, all potential lower-tier subcontractors shall submit all questions/comments through the potential General Contractor. Potential Offers should submit all questions/comments on a single request, multiple requests will not be responded too. Questions and responses will be posted on FBO NLT January 31, 2011, responses will not be sent directly to any potential offerors. In additon, SLAC requests responses to the following questions from industry to ensure the final RFP will meet the industry's needs. 1) Is there any addtional information on teh RFP that you will require to submit a complete application? 2) Are you interested in theis project per the process laid out in the RFP? If not, why not? 3) What would be your project approach to the building design, sustainability, and energy saving parts of this design competition? 4) What Kind of presentation would you make if selected as one of the five finalists? All communications regarding this DRAFT RFPshall be accomplished via e-mail in writing (no mailed hard copies or phone calls will be accepted). All commuications will be handled through the procurement specialist only, any potenial offeror that contacts any other SLAC staff member in regards to this potential contract may render themselves ineligible to propose on this opportunity. No contract will result from this DRAFT RFP, and the University is not responsible for any costs incurred by contractors in preparing responses to this notice. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.
