Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Elsevier, Inc., New York, New York. The purpose of this purchase order is to provide online access to Advances in Genetics, Advances in Immunology, Advances in Virus Research, Advances in Parasitology, Methods in Enzymology subscriptions required by CDC scientists for agency research. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Classification System Code is 511210. The anticipated award date is January 4, 2010. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide all of the Journals listed above need to submit a written notification of interest and capability statement to the Contracting Specialist by 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time January 3, 2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
