- This is a Sources Sought Announcement and will be used for acquisition planning purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently conducting a market survey to identify potential businesses capable of providing Car Services for eligible beneficiaries to and from VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) East Orange / Lyons Campuses and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS) through out New Jersey. Firm will also transport patients with scheduled clinic appointments to the various facilities outside New Jersey (Bronx /Brooklyn / Manhattan /Castle Point / Montrose /St. Albans). The firm will be responsible for providing all vehicles, management, supervision, personnel, materials, supplies, equipment and reports and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these required services. This car service is for ambulatory medically stable veterans only, which means that this service is for patients who are capable of walking and are not restricted to a wheelchair nor are they bedridden. If a Veteran is in a wheelchair, but can easily transfer to sit in the car, then the wheelchair will be folded and placed in the trunk. The services of this contract will be utilized primarily for trips starting at a veteran's location (residence, nursing home, and other medical facilities) with the trip terminating at the East Orange or Lyons Medical Center. Some trips will start at the East Orange or Lyons Medical Center and end at other medical facilities or the Veterans location and vice versa. The projected number of required trips monthly is approximately 452 trips, and the anticipated annual volume is approximately 5,400 trips. Response time required is 60 minutes. Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, " NJHCS CAR SERVICES VA-243-11-RQ-0074". Email must contain the following information: Name of firm, Socio-Economic category of the firm (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone, 8(A), Woman Owned Small Business, OR Small Business), DUNS Number, complete address, phone & fax number of contact. Firms must be able to demonstrate experience for the required services, it is preferred if the Firm has provided required services to other VA Medical Centers throughout the United States. The Firm must also provide minimum of (3) three "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar services. References must include: Point of contact name, phone number and email address. Name of Agency/Company that Firm performed the same/similar service, contract number, contract term and total dollar amount of contract. The NAICS code applicable to this service is 485310. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $7.0M. This is NOT a request for proposals or pricing. This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. This does not obligate the government to issue a solicitation for these services. Please be advised that the government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
