- Family Travel RFP document and two associated Exhibits The Smithsonian Institution hereby issues a Request for Proposals ("RFP") for the development and implementation of a family travel program. The Smithsonian, through its Smithsonian Enterprises division, seeks a leading travel company with significant and relevant expertise in the development, promotion, sale, and execution of family travel programs. The company will be expected to package and promote high quality travel experiences consistent with the Smithsonian's mission. Key to the program will be the company's ability to provide quality, innovative, and relevant travel products, and its ability to reach (and build) its existing client base in promoting the Smithsonian family travel program developed pursuant to this RFP. Interested offerors are required to provide a notice of intention to submit a proposal to Alyssa Reiner at reinera@si.edu by no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 24, 2010. Please note that the addition of your company name to the interested vendors list on this website does not constitute proper notice. All questions and inquiries related to this RFP must be directed to Alyssa Reiner; inquiries regarding this RFP to any other Smithsonian parties will not be answered. The deadline for submission of questions is 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 24, 2011. Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 4, 2011. Requested materials must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures.
